“Hi Jo You’ve Lost Your Short Term Memory…”

The post of the week comes from the Kindness Blog. The post is cool but it is one part of what makes the site great. For me, at least, it acts as a reminder that folks can help each other solve problems without large impersonal bureaucracies. Who we are as a culture is defined by how we act towards others, not by the complexity or bigness of the systems we have in place.
A substantial portion of my career has been spent managing programs in both non-profit and for-profit organizations whose mission was (and still is) to help those in need. Despite the resources at our disposal what really mattered was finding someone, either within the organization or community that was willing to make a personal sacrifice to help a neighbor or client through their darker moments. So if you want a dose of something that will keep you connected to the better part of your nature, checking out this blog on a daily basis can certainly help.

Posts for this feature are selected each week and posted on Friday, Saturday or Sunday. Posts selected are not necessarily featured the week they were originally posted.
